Zithers

Treasuries with numerous strings

Zithers belong to the few nameless Framus instruments. Various models exist, in 32-, 38-, 40-, and 42-string configuration. All zither instruments were handmade using exotic and partly domestic woods. Also available were tuning keys, fingerpicks, tuning machines, etc.

A top model was the 42-string, made of rosewood, air resonating zither Kreuzperfekta model 7/42 outfitted with alpine rose strings.
