This amp stems of the period when the first equalizers were integrated in music amplifiers. Before bass and treble controls came up, amps had only unspecific or unefficient tone controls. This model is one of the first Framus-amps with integrated EQ. At that time Framus called it "Mischregister" and added, that every musician would be able to adjust his personal sound individually "from the softest to the hardest tone". The original catalog spoke of "undreamed-of possibilities".
  • Compared with modern possibilities it may sound amusing, but in these times the Strato represented technical progress.
